Teach the avatar about your shop

AI Business holds what your avatar may tell customers about your Second Life business, and only the part a question needs is used.

Four blocks

AI Business is available with a Business licence. It has four blocks: Second Life shop information, Shop products information, Second Life platform information, and Extra information. Each one takes any number of .txt and .md files plus a text field you can type into directly.

A file you add is copied into the avatar's own workspace, so the block keeps working if you later move, rename or delete the original. Removing a file from a block deletes that copy.

Only what a question needs

Nothing you write here is attached to every message. The avatar is told which blocks exist and what each one holds, and when somebody asks about a price, a product, a delivery or something that is not working, it fetches just those blocks and answers from them.

That keeps ordinary conversation small and keeps your catalogue out of a chat about the weather. It also means the avatar answers from what you wrote rather than from guesswork; when a block does not cover the question, it says it will find out.

Switching it on

The blocks are used only while the personality is set to Formal Business in AI Config. The tab says at the top whether that is the case, so a block you filled in cannot quietly do nothing.

Under each block you will see its size against the Business context limit, which is set in AI Config and defaults to 20,000 characters per block. A block longer than the limit is shortened before it reaches the AI, so keep the important facts near the top or raise the limit.
